Hello everyone I need some advice I have been to Thailand twice this year for a total of 70 days I want to go in October for around 23 days will that be okay or will I need a visa ??
Answer summary
The user inquires about the necessity of a visa for a planned trip to Thailand after spending a total of 70 days already this year, with plans for an additional 23-day stay in October. The community responds with various opinions, suggesting that the decision ultimately lies with the immigration officer, and it may depend on the traveler's overall history in Thailand within the past 12 to 18 months. Many advise that as long as the traveler has a valid return flight and keeps within reasonable limits, they might not need a visa but might benefit from obtaining a proper visa like a Tourist Visa or Non-O to avoid complications.

I think you will be ok. Your stays are daily short.
This year is irrelevant, the last cycle of 12-15 months counts. 93 days within a cycle with return to your country of domicile in between should still be considered as ordinary tourism.
Jan Kenneth Nesland what about 163 days in a cycle. Already been 103 this year total in 18 days and 85 days both Visa exempt. This next 60 days in September I plan on using a Single Tourist Visa. From the US. Good standing never had any issues.
GratefulChestnut2464 Consider a rolling 12 months, not a calendar year. When you return, how many days in the current year have you been in Thailand? If it’s 163 then you may well have a problem.
GratefulChestnut2464 No one other than the IO standing in front of you can answer that question with certainty, but 150–180 days is normally around the point where concerns may start to arise. A single-entry tourist visa gives you a slightly better chance, but still no guarantee. If you’re over 50, I would have applied for a 90-day Non-O instead.
Nobody can tell you for sure as it will be up to the immigration officer you stand in front of and it will also depend on your history in Thailand over the past 12 to 18 months. If you have no prior history then I don't see any red flags
