Can I be denied entry to Thailand without a work permit after a visa run and applying for a new Non-B visa?

Hi everyone. I am on my second non b visa now, just did my visa run. My school and agent applied for my work permit late, subsequently it was denied because I did not have enough time left on my visa. Did another visa run for a new non b and questioned at every point why I don't have a work permit. Anyway, I got the visa (after begging at the embassy) and I'm back in Thailand but my dillema is I wanted to go home to South Africa next week for the holiday but obviously I don't have my work permit yet as I just got my new visa so the process will only start again now.

Is there a possibility that I can be denied entry when I fly back to Thailand because I don't have a work permit?

There is a remark on my Non B: The applicant is advised to apply for work permit which should be presented to the authorities next time.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user recently completed a visa run to renew their Non-B visa but is concerned about traveling back to South Africa for the holidays without having obtained a work permit. They received a warning on their visa regarding the necessity of applying for a work permit. The main concern is whether they could face denial of entry to Thailand upon their return due to the lack of a work permit.
