Hello, I’d like some advice:
I have a Non O spouse visa married to my Thai husband. I would like to work for a school in Phayao.
1) Am I able to apply for a work permit based on this visa or
must I convert the Non O to a Non B visa?
2) And if I need to apply for a Non B, can I apply in Bangkok or must I exit Thailand and apply in another country.
Thank you.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user asked if they can apply for a work permit based on their Non O spouse visa or if they need to convert it to a Non B visa for employment at a school in Phayao. Responses indicated that they can legally obtain a work permit with their current Non O visa without needing to convert to a Non B visa, despite some employers suggesting otherwise. Additionally, they may need to have relevant qualifications for teaching positions.
