what is scrapped? I'm trying to get to UK for a family member health reason and want to avoid quarantine in England. Therefore I want to fly to Ireland which is green. Avoid quarantine. Stay 11 days and then fly from Ireland to England.

I’m not up on the current rules on entering England and what tests are needed from Ireland. The gov.uk website should give you all the latest details.

it's a way of circumventing the quarantine restrictions for the UK. Direct from Thailand means quarantine, fly into a country not on the red list first for a few days and then go to the UK, means no quarantine
