TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers from Australia to Phuket should expect that flights are generally not enforcing social distancing measures, leading to fuller flights with available seats being optimally sold by airlines. Many travelers report that flights are close to full capacity, with few instances of open seats or spacing. Additionally, there are concerns regarding quarantine rules if a fellow passenger tests positive, emphasizing the importance of checking travel and accommodation conditions to avoid complications.
My plane was nearly full from Amsterdam to Bangkok and 5 in minibus

Check with your hotel if your transport to hotel is alone, don't accept if you have to share car with other passenger cos if they are found positive, you will be quarantine 14days and have to pay

If you are flying coach you should expect a semi full house. The days of seat rows to yourself are gone.
And if someone tests positive within a row of you expect to be sitting in quarrantine or opting to fly right back out as long as you are negative.

Apparently if someone is found to test positive and they sat to your immediate left or right, you are classed as a close contact and must quarantine. Row in front or behind doesn’t matter! If you share a taxi to your hotel for 1 day Quarantine and someone tests positive same!

In my experience, for international flights, more like 6+M apart - not enough passengers to do otherwise.
Singapore airways the test must be 48 hours before wjen transmitting wjen I fly bk to Uk I don’t need a PCR test by Thailand or Uk government but some airports still require when transiting which is a pain
just don’t worry fir now if the plane is empty you ca sit where you like after take off, only thing putting me off Singapore airways is the fact you need a PCR test on the way bk just to transit
