I'm planning on entering Thailand Visa exempt from the UK and get an extension in country. Roughly how long does if take to get approved for the COE? As you have to book everything first. How many days should i give between applying and starting quarantine?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When entering Thailand visa exempt from the UK, the approval process for the Certificate of Entry (COE) typically takes between 1 to 5 days. Responses from the community suggest that while it's recommended to allow a week for the entire process, it usually takes much less time, often completed within the same day or up to 3 days depending on the situation.

Thanks guys, really appreciate the advice. When i arrive in the UK i could probably use 1 week to get myself ready. So thats perfect

I would allow for 3-5 days but more often than not it's done by next day of request.

I allowed 5 days from applying for COE to flying, COE was completed in 3 days then Covid test and fit to fly before flying.

They say to allow a week but usually do it very quickly - often same day.
