This might sound like a stupid question but once you have completed your 15 day quantine are you able to get on a flight from Bangkok to South Thailand the next day?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Once you complete your 15-day quarantine in Bangkok, you are permitted to travel anywhere within Thailand, including to the southern regions. There are currently no restrictions preventing domestic travel following the quarantine period. However, future policies may change, so it's advisable to stay updated on local regulations.

Look at the over crowed shoulder to shoulder testing conditions at Samut Sakhon it’s as if a used mask out weighs the need for social distancing.
Said it so many times COVID infections are many thousands more than reported always has been always will be when less than 2% of Thailands 69m population are tested.
There are still 68m people who haven’t even been tested.
Fatalities are the only real hard data.
I would put money on finding huge numbers of cases if this type of testing was carried out on any market or contained group of people.

if you’re Malaysian you can just travel everywhere without being checked 😉 what a joke
and I'm saying without the restrictions in Thailand maybe be we would have seen similar here but you are taking the piss and calling them drama queens for their precautions.
no you are the one saying that. Thailands fatalities are incredibly low however that has been managed. I suspect Thailand is being more cautious with its coding of fatalities snd not accounting all comorbidities etc etc as does the USA.
The “drama” I refer to is about cases. Ie media posting pictures of prawns insinuating the entire prawn industry is infected because one stall worker in a seafood market tests positive. Do we do that for every other case— point at their place of work and say “the vegetables are infected or that meat is infected.
Wet markets of all kinds are open across Thailand I would put money on the fact that if their stall holders were all tested many more cases would be found.
Further the focus on cases in the absence of hard fact fatalities is baseless.
Only 1.5m largely volunteering Thais have been tested - meaning 68.5m have not been.
So how can we ever say Thailand has X number of cases. There have been and will
Be thousands more because only 2,1% of the population have been tested and even those tested could catch it again the minute they walk out of the clinic.
More you test more you will find - absolutely !
What matters are the hard fact fatalities 60.

Have you ever considered that maybe the lack of infections in Thailand maybe because of the mask wearing and lockdowns unlike in America where they ignore the science etc and as a result the virus is out of control and 3000+ a day are dieing? So tell me, who is more stupid?? Time some of you got of your high horses. Thailand may not be perfect, but neither are your home countries, or why would you be living here.
it don’t really matter about your opinion if the Thai government are scared then they will shut down they cannot afford for this pandemic to happen to this country they don’t have the health care or the money so they will panic the amount of cases they are talking about is almost the deaths in one day I’m my country but everyone up in the village is talking about it
neither do they care about your opinion — this is a forum to express our opinions not lobby the government- we are not thais it’s not our country and they will never listen to us.
very true Thais don’t listen to farang I there country that’s to point I was trying to make after being with my Thai wife for 19 years I came to understand in Thailand it’s there way or the airport
sorry mate I totally disagree Thai people are very proud and hate being told what to do in there own country about there country look at the baht monetary policy
I think the “policy” is driven by a need to take substantial amounts of baht out of the country over recent months — certainly not doing exports - foreign investment or whatever is left of tourism any good — basically means 10% added to the ASQ rates and the rest of the trip
in fairness I think we would be the same if a group of Thais complained about our home country — I’ve learnt to enjoy the good bits and dun try to understand Thailand too much — we never will .
We stay here because the good parts must outweigh the bad and or where we came from
And yet the Thai government listened to foreign psychopaths when they took their money to destroy their own economy! The WHO, IMF, WEF all headed by foreigners.
60 fatalities and voluntary testing that is less than 10% of the entire country and you don’t expect to find more cases?
Fear mongering — do the maths and you will find fatality per capita is 0.0000909090909090909 %

0909 %
110 killed in road accidents just one long weekend —
I am well aware what thais have and do not have I have lived there for over 30 years. And u will find that the majority of thais either can’t afford or will not go for voluntary testing because of fear.
There are and always have been many thousand more cases than reported because the testing levels are so low.
The county is dying financially—- and thais dont get any assistance for that either

Anything could happen right now I would be careful travelling as one could be stuck in a lock down, anything is possible the way things are now.

There is a large spike of covid cases in Bangkok also wife said Bangkok maybe of limits for other Thais very soon
Some other restrictions happening around the country too...new roadblocks and checkpoints in Nakorn Ratchasima, also airport controls in Chiang Mai and expect most of the rest of the country to follow suit soon.
I'mo call out Thais for not wearing masks on the elevator. At least they don't go home and get their gun (Good Morning America!)
Paul *******
Edward Nathan Some might. LOL. Anyway, I guess you're being sarcastic, but seriously, the last thing I would advocate is for people to call out others like that. There's enough authoritarianism in Thailand at the moment already. We don't need more, and especially not from fellow citizens. Thais fortunately rarely confront people...the only place they have the courage is anonymously online.
come on mate. Wouldn’t your quarantine be a lot more interesting if an elephant showed up in total hazmat suit and PPE to take your temperature every morning
You would enjoy that, probably from Australia. We know they have no sense of humor. All their lives they been on this island in the middle of nowhere and can’t seem to get anybody to take them seriously. Like they’re yelling all the time, “hey, I know we were once a bunch of convicts but we’re really trying hard to be good. Please, we”ll do better, I promise. We’ve almost got this sobriety problem licked. We did get guns banned, but of course it was only after we had the world’s biggest massacre in recent years.” Of course, we still have this little problem of not having a sense of humor

I have a flight to Nan on the 27th for my job, so I hope O can go!
You never know, they might. Remember they shut down all air travel back in April. Myanmar did so twice, the second time it was shut from late August to Dec 15...wouldn't be surprised if Thailand decided to follow suit.
AS OF RIGHT NOW, you're free to travel domestically without restrictions after you leave quarantine. What's tomorrow policy going to be? We have no idea
Mogens Nygaard Why do people constantly moan about that. The whole Covid narrative is nonsense anyway, but no one is "blaming" anyone...however, for the narrative to make sense, the virus has to have traveled from somewhere. In this case they're saying Myanmar. Which is plausible. After all, this bat flu virus supposedly arrived in Thailand directly from Wuhan. It didn't originate here.
Stuart *********
Mogens Nygaard sorry. That may have sounded harsh. I’ve deleted my last comment. I realize that if you hadn’t read anything recently you would think that was the case
Stuart *********
Mogens Nygaard well you may want to re-read what you’ve read from different sources. 13 was this morning’s number. It’s been updated a bit. I may have over exaggerated. I think the published number is 548.
Benjamin ******
Mogens Nygaard Then why are they doing a hard lockdown right now? As of NOW:
All schools, stadiums, boxing stadiums, nurseries, beauty salons and restaurants to be closed. Only food take-away is permitted.
Department stores are to be closed from Dec 19 - Jan 3.
All convenient stores are to be closed from 22.00 hrs - 05.00 hrs.
yep with a reported 550 cases in Samuk Sakhon the viability of traveling within Thailand looks doubtful.
Benjamin ******
Steve Latham IF the lockdowns are going to be the same as April, I believe the government will not let people leave their province, unless they have a reason to. I *CAN SEE* Thailand lumping the greater Bangkok Area as a single region given connected they are.
Don't fear monger. Samut Sakhon is being locked down, why would they expand it to all of Bangkok? I don't know what will happen tomorrow but let's not make assumptions. I would however recommend playing it by day and remaining flexible.
Benjamin ******
Paul James They (should) expand the lockdown throughout the entire Bangkok region because Samut Sakhon is part of the Bangkok greater metro region. It's easy to catch a Bangkok City bus in Samut Sakhon,or to take the BTS.
I got my Samut's confused :\ But there *IS* a train station that goes from Samut Sakhon to Wong Wen Yai. And the Bangkok bus system does run in the region
