Hi all, just wondering if anyone has any experience of getting the train from Bangkok to nong Khai arriving in nong Khai at 5.45pm and is it possible to cross after arrival? I heard the border closes at 6pm, is this true?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about taking a train from Bangkok to Nong Khai, arriving at 5:45 PM, and whether it's possible to cross the border after arrival, given that the border reportedly closes at 6 PM. Comments indicated that the border is actually open until 10 PM, and crossing can be done well after 6 PM, thus providing reassurance that arrival in Nong Khai at 5:45 PM should allow for crossing.

You really prefer the train when the fares to Udon Thani with Nok Air start at 790 baht and Thai Lion Air 815 baht one way?
