Good morning everyone. Should I leave the country to apply for non O visas for my kids? Or can I apply for these visas at Chaeng Wattana in Bangkok?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is inquiring whether it's necessary to leave Thailand to apply for Non-O visas for their children or if these visas can be obtained at the Chaeng Wattana immigration office in Bangkok. Multiple comments provide insights about children's visa requirements, suggesting that children under 13 may not need a visa for overstays. Discussions also focus on alternate options like ED visas, documentation required, and experiences of others with similar situations, particularly regarding visa applications for South African passport holders in Vientiane, Laos.

That I told here, but was not sure about Vientiane in Laos due to S/A passports. Thanks for clearing that out.

unfortunately with that story I don't think she can get ANY of their visas inside the country :/

But she shouldn't have any problem getting the ED visa or the Non-O visa in Lao

One is 5 years and the school would prepare the documents but where a little late. Other on is just a baby. The school got visited by Immigration and told her kid is now 2 months on overstay, so now with papers from school she will apply for a ED visa for one and for the younger one a Non O being dependent. She has WP and Extension of Stay based on working.

If they meet all the requirements it is possible if they have now the tourist visa or Visa Exempt Entry and still 15 days left on their stay. Visit Immigration for the hand out with all the requirements.

This is what I'm thinking too... But they get an overstay stamp whenever you leave which is not good so I would rather get them on Ed visas or Non O visas ASAP

Julandi as far as immigration down in the south kids under the age of 13 don't need a visa cause they don't pay overstay but apparently rules are not the same everywhere.

Official rule is also in the south: Children need a Visa. But children till 15 years of age do not get fined for overstay, and till 18 years fined for overstay but not black listed.
