Hello,

My husband has non-B Visa and I have non-O. Kids have non-O

Non-B will be cancelled and we would like to get non-ED for kids and Guardian for parents.

Can we transform our visas here or do we need to go back to home country to to this at the embassy?

Any help most welcome.

thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking guidance on converting their current non-O visas to non-ED for their children and a guardian visa for themselves. Comments suggest that while the children's visa conversion may be possible within Thailand depending on the immigration office, obtaining a guardian visa will likely require visiting a nearby embassy or consulate such as in Penang.

The kids could probably get a switch to Non Ed in country. Depends on the office you use. You almost certainly won’t be able to switch to a “guardian” visa in country. You’ll need to go to a nearby embassy or consulate to get that. Penang is probably your best bet.

And for parents, wait until visa is cancelled, then go out of country and request guardian? I need to have kids already on non-ED before requesting guardian?

thanks ! So I could request the switch for the kids while still on non-O and non-B?

Should be able to do it outside Thailand but locally in Asia. Just need paperwork from the school and money in the bank.

When should we do this? I understand that once non-B is cancelled, we need to leave the country. Should be do the switch before it's cancelled? Or cancel, leave country, and ask for non-ED outside the country?

Are you on your original visas or do you have a stamp that says “extension of stay”?
