Can I apply for an ED visa from within Thailand if I entered under the visa exemption program?
Hello, if I enter Thailand under the visa exemption program, do I need to leave the country to apply for an ED visa or can I apply and have the visa issued within Thailand?

When I last enquired with a language school in Chiang Mai they explained that the visa could be issued within Thailand. I enquired about 3 weeks ago.

That will be up to the school you apply to. In theory you can get within Thailand but they’ll need to do the application for you.
