Hi, has anybody applied for a non-o through e-visa website whilst having a METV that isnt expired.

I currently am outside of Thailand in my home country

I recieved a METV Visa which expires in 3 months from the online e-visa website using the embassy in London. I used the METV visa once and have just returned back in my home country.

I just applied for a non-o 90 day visa for marriage (stayin with family residing in thailand) via the e-visa website again.

How likely is this to be approved, as the METV is still active/usable will this cause any issues, or does it have to be cancelled somehow.

If approved will there be any issue at airport IO for having two visa's?

has anybody been in the same situation.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the possibility of applying for a Non-O visa while currently holding an unexpired Multi-Entry Tourist Visa (METV). They seek clarification on potential issues regarding visa approval and concerns about airport immigration if holding two active visas. Community responses suggest that typically, one cannot hold two valid visas simultaneously, and advise either waiting for the METV to expire or contacting the issuing consulate to cancel it.

I did that with a DTV.

Got an email advising me that I had 4 years left on my DTV. They asked me if I wanted to cancel the DTV and proceed with the non-O or cancel my request for a non-O.

I told them to cancel the DTV and proceed with the non-O. Next day I got an email saying my DTV was cancelled. Downloading the PDF from the website has a big "VOID" across the DTV.

A couple days later they emailed my my non-O.

Vancouver Consulate.

I believe you cannot. .. ... ๐Ÿ˜•

You can't apply for any visa if you're currently holding a valid multi entry visa ๐Ÿ™ You would have to wait for that 6 month METV to run out OR you would have to contact the consulate that issued it and have them cancel it in the system.

I would imagine once they see you hold a valid multi-entry visa that you're going to get rejected for this 90 day Non-O visa you just applied for.

report back and let people know if you got approved or rejected.

There are many reports of people holding valid METV's being denied DTV visas and told to re-apply after the 6 month METV runs out. <- Meaning you can't hold two valid visas at the same time ๐Ÿ˜•
