Can I apply for a 90-day entry visa at the UK embassy while in Indonesia?

I am In Thailand now but will be going to Indonesia for 1 month.

Can I apply to my UK embassy to apply for a 90 day entry visa? I am asking because in the uk it is all done on-line so I don't have to attend the Thai embassy in London.

It's only a question I thought I would ask as I'm not in Thailand and I won't be back in the UK until August.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently in Thailand and plans to go to Indonesia for a month, seeking to know if they can apply for a 90-day entry visa to Thailand through their UK embassy while in Indonesia. Responses indicate that the application must be made from the country where the applicant is physically located, thus requiring them to apply through the Thai Consulate in Jakarta while remaining in Indonesia. One comment suggests that location proof is necessary, while another incorrectly mentions that the UK driving license could be used as proof for the application.

You have to prove your current location so that would direct your application to Jakarta for approval

No you can't. If you are in Indonesia you can apply via the Thai Consulate in Jakarta but have to remain in Indonesia until the process completes. You can only apply via the Thai Consulate in London if you are physically present in the UK, and again you have to remain there until the application process completes

Why are you saying "Consulates" in Jakarta and London? Those are fully fledged Thai Embassies.

Thai Embassy in Australia is in Canberra. Thai consulate is in in Sydney.

Thai Embassy in Japan is in Tokyo, the consulate looking after my area is in Osaka.

You are right for the most of the circumstances people here may encounter.

Even Thai passports renevals. I do not really know what more the consulates can not do for ordinary folks like us.

I don't think it's about attendance it's about the fact that your return journey will not begin from UK so in my humble opinion your application will not be granted
