Once upon a time, I was allowed a Retirement Visa based on being a dependent of an adult Thai daughter. I wonder if this option still exists.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question focuses on whether expats can still obtain a Retirement Visa while being a dependent of an adult Thai daughter. Comments clarify the confusion between Retirement Visa and dependent visas, highlighting that once a Thai child reaches the age of 20, the possibility of obtaining a dependent visa is limited, and there may have been changes in visa policies concerning such arrangements.

I can't recall what visa it was but I got it as an elderly expat supported by an adult Thai daughter at that time. Then they suddenly stopped that option and I was asking it was ever re-instated as a visa type.
You sound a bit mixed up. A retirement visa and a dependent visa are not the same thing. I've not heard of anyone getting a dependent visa based on having a Thai child once the child hits the age of 20.
