Please excuse my stupidity/ignorance. Is it still possible for a UK passport holder and a Finnish passport holder to get a visa on arrival, and if so how long would this be valid for.

All the best Simon xx.

TLDR : Answer Summary
UK and Finnish passport holders do not get a traditional Visa on Arrival. Instead, they are eligible for a visa-exempt entry, which grants them a 30-day entry stamp upon arrival in Thailand. This stamp can be extended once for an additional 30 days at Thai Immigration for a fee of 1,900 Thai baht.

You will need permission to enter Thailand. Contact the Thai Embassy in your country.

No you do not get a Visa On Arrival. You can get a 30-day entry stamp which exempts you from any visa. This stamp can be extended once only for an additional 30 days

Its a visa exempt entry and it gives you 30 days on arrival...

Plus you can get one 30 day extension at Thai Immigration for 1,900 Thai baht.
