TLDR : Answer Summary
Dean is currently in Laos after a two-month stay in Thailand and seeks advice on obtaining a 30-day visa extension before returning to Thailand. He cannot leave earlier due to restrictions on flying with his dog. Community members suggest various options, including applying for a tourist visa for 60 days, asking about visa-exempt entries and their historical implications, and inquiring about the process for bringing his dog back to Thailand.
Assuming this is all about “visa-exempt” entries,,,,,,
If you entered visa-exempt in November, you are right now within your 30-day extension.
So, when you leave, you will re-enter, again, visa-exempt, yes ?
If so, your history PRIOR to November is important. How many entries, how long each stay was, and how long in between entries (i.e. how long you were NOT in Thailand) in 2025.
THEN the membership here can give you some guidance on the likelihood of your getting in again visa-exempt.
Of course, if you get a VISA while out of Thailand, that should get you back in without any issue.
Was your first entry visa exempt with a 30 day extension? If you're planning another visa exempt entry you might only get a 7 day extension, if you are allowed in which will depend on your history. You could apply for a tourist visa while in Laos which will get you 60 days plus a 30 day extension but the consulate will be closed on the 9th due to counting votes for the election on the 8th. I'm guessing you don't have your dog in Laos with you?
