UK citizen on non-O (marriage) extension until 8 March 2022.

Passport is valid only until 10 February 2023.

Can I still apply for an extension until 8 March 2023?

If not what are the options?

Off topic: Why not getting new passport from UK embassy ? It looks like that you have enough time! (of course if UK embassy are effective ...)

they will NEVER get a new passport back in time to get their next extension (VFS Global is saying it can take up to 12 weeks to get a new one)

I don't want to take the risk that the passport renewal is fouled up in some way.

Personally I'd take the short extension (you're losing just a month Feb 10 to March 8th) and then renew your brit passport later in the year once we see if this covid shit show is gonna make doing that any easier or not.

As your passport isn't valid for a year from your extension date, you'll get an extension good only the amount of time your passport is valid for.

You can apply but the the Extension of Stay is 1 year of until validity of passport, which ever comes first.

In your case if you apply the new Extension of Stay will be valid until 10 Feb 2023.

You are not allowed to be in a foreign country without a valid passport.
