Does anyone know, if a husband and wife are applying for a DTV through a Muay Thai gym, is it enough for one person to apply to the program and then their spouse can apply by being the spouse of the person training at the Muay Thai gym? Or would they both need to buy a membership from the gym to qualify?

TLDR : Answer Summary
In the case of applying for a DTV visa through a Muay Thai gym, only one spouse needs to purchase a membership and apply for the visa. The other spouse can apply as a dependent, provided they have the appropriate documentation to prove their marriage.

Not the best odds to get a dependant DTV on that basis.

With the correct documentation to prove you are married, one gets the DTV through soft power, in your case Muay Thai classes, and the other as a dependent after the first one gets the DTV.

Only one would need to pay for the gym. The other could be on a dependent visa.
