If I apply to add my 19 year old daughter to my DTV ( yep I realise we both need 20,000 au in our accounts) will her visa remain valid for 5 years or expire when she turns 20? ( we can both meet the other requirement). Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying to add your 19-year-old daughter to your DTV, her visa will typically expire when she turns 20, based on current regulations for dependent visas in Thailand. Although the DTV allows dependants, local rules often state that children can only hold the visa until they reach the age of 20. It's advisable to confirm this with the embassy for the most accurate information.

The LTR is a 10 year visa that allows your dependants to also receive an LTR visa. But if it's a child then the visa is void when the child turns 20.

I would assume the same with the DTV. But you should check with the embassy and see what they say.

she'd need to cancel her ED visa then leave Thailand to apply for the DTV elsewhere
