Can I apply for a DTV visa in Thailand with funds transferred shortly before application?

Hey everyone 👋

I’m planning to apply for the DTV visa in Hanoi and wanted to clarify something about the 500k THB requirement.

I understand the general expectation is that the funds should be “seasoned” in your account, but I’m curious if anyone has had success in a slightly different scenario:

Has anyone transferred the funds into their bank account shortly before applying (e.g. about a week prior), for example from a brokerage account, and then provided a clear paper trail showing the funds are genuinely theirs?

Did that work, or were there issues because the funds weren’t sitting in the account for long enough?

Would really appreciate any recent firsthand experiences or insights 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around the requirement for the DTV visa regarding having 500,000 THB in the bank. Users share their experiences about the 'seasoning' of funds, with some noting they were successful even with recent deposits. One user mentioned transferring funds the day before applying, while another detailed a friend who managed with only a week's history in the account. Overall, there's a mix of caution and encouragement for those considering applying under similar conditions.

My friend put 499.999 Thb in his account 2 days after application and withdrawl all within 2,5 minutes.

Dont worry, the requirements are just made to show off, apply and worst case scenario is that your application gets denied.

You can than try again and again until your savings are gone.

I am in the same position as you.

And I realized if I get visa decline it will be a mark in their system .

So I'm waiting for the 3-month to finish before I coming back to Thailand
