Hey guys! If I attend a music festival will I be approved for DTV? it just doesn't make sense to me since this is just a fun event and it seems too good to be true. Any advises?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether attending a music festival would qualify them for a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) in Thailand, expressing doubt about the validity of this reason. Comments from the community suggest that while some countries issue long-term tourist visas for brief trips, there is skepticism within the expat community regarding the likelihood of obtaining a DTV solely for attending a festival, despite it being listed as an approved reason by Thai authorities.

China and the US issue 10 year tourist visas, even for a 1 day trip.

10 year tourist visa? You sure? If that's the case then I would want to have this visa. Any catch to this?

totally true. I've had it. 10 years and up to 6 month stay upon each entry. But it doesn't allow to work remotely, just tourism and business meetings. The DTV allows to work remotely in Thailand.

I mean, if you didn't believe me it would take you all of 30 seconds to just look on the US embassy's website under visas...

I've never actually seen anyone get a DTV for this despite this reason being listed on the infographic the MFA published as an approved "soft power" qualification.
