Hello there! I was wondering if you could help me with some visa questions.
I got a Thai Visa issued before my trip valid for 2 Months back in Mexico city, I have a Mexican Passaport.
I understand that after the 2 months I could get a 30 days extension at a Thai Embassy for 1900 bth.
However, I was wondering if instead of the 30 days extension at the embassy I could do a Visa run so I don't need to pay the full 1900 bth, and re enter Thailand for another 30 days.
I would like to stay in Thailand for 30 more days so my question is, if I do a visa run with a mexican passport after my two months are over am I allowed, as a mexican, to get 30 more days? Or just 15?
Thank you so much!!!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about extending their stay in Thailand with a Mexican passport after their initial two-month visa. They wanted to know if a visa run would grant them an additional 30 days or just 15 days. Responses indicated that Mexico is not eligible for a visa exemption, suggesting that a visa run may only allow for a 15-day stay. It was advised to extend the current visa for 1,900 THB at a local immigration office for a full 30-day extension.

You don't pay for extensions at a thai embassy as there are NO thai embassies in thailand. You pay it at the local immigration office wherever you are staying.
You qualify for a 15 day visa on arrival. If you apply for an extension, IF they accept the application, it will be denied and you will ahve 7 days to leave Thailand. My advice, pay the 1,900 THB and extend your current visa.
Mexico isn’t on the list of countries allowed for visa exemption. I’m not sure a border bounce is possible. I’d wait for the more knowledgeable to confirm.
