Hello there! I was reading some information about "visa extension" and I was wondering if you know if there is any restriction for certain nationalities. I'm Mexican and I have a Tourist visa TS with 2 entry, each entry for 30 days. I arrived on 17/03 and I was considering doing border run to Kanchanaburi before 15/04 so I could get again 30 days more. But in case the border is closed I was also considering applying for an extension of stay.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about visa restrictions for extensions specific to their nationality, as a Mexican holding a Tourist Visa (TS) with 2 entries. They were considering doing a border run to Kanchanaburi before their visa's expiration but faced uncertainties due to potential border closures. Comments clarify that extensions may not be possible and that they must travel to a different country to activate their second 30-day stay due to current restrictions.

I understand now thanks, the borders are closed to Myanmar, and this visa can not be extended with 30 days at Immigration. You have to find a way to fly to a country where you can enter and come back to activate the second 30 days stay but this must be done before the valid until date on the visa

I see, bad luck for me, I will need to find the way to go to another country and come back to activate the second 30 days. Hope everything gets better in some days so I can do the border run. thank you !

Its tourist visa with 2 entries (they described as Transit Visa with 2 entries, I got at the consulate in Hamburg, Germany and they told me that after the first entry I had 30 days, then I need to leave and come back and will have another 30 days).

What's a tourist visa with 2 entries? Can I see your visa sticker.

1. Do you have a multiple entry tourist visa? A Mexican can only get a visa on arrival, and was good for 15 days, which was cancelled. See

A multiple entry tourist visa gives you 60 days on each bounce.

2. April 15th is a VERY long time away, and things are changing quickly!
