TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on a 30-day visa exempt entry and asks about the possibility of doing a border run to Mae Sai for an additional 30 days. Responses clarify that this is feasible either by extending the visa at a Thai immigration office for 1900 baht, or by crossing into Burma at Mae Sai, thus obtaining a new visa exempt entry stamp upon re-entering Thailand. However, it is noted that doing this will count as one of the two allowed 30-day visa exempt entries when crossing a land border in a calendar year.

What should i do now sir

@T**
, Since Dec 31st, most people can only do two land border crossings to get a 30 day visa exempt entry stamp in a year.

Malaysians are specifically exempt from that new rule.

I dont really understand sir. Two 30 day visa by land border ?

Thank you for your advise Sir

@T**
, the good thing is Malaysians are NOT covered under the TWO 30 day visa exempt entries by a land border rule they started Dec 31st.

The Ban Laem border is about 300KM from Bangkok.

I am from malaysia sir..where is bang laem .how far is it from bkk?
Tod *********
@T**
, depending on your nationality, I'd say the easiest border near Bangkok would be the Ban Laem one.

It has less problems than the Aranyaprathet - Poi Pet border by far.

Thank you very much for you reply
@Tod ********
.Any advise if i am in bkk .I already renew once in cheong wattana and i have to leave bkk for the 2nd time.

The Mae Sai border is up past Chiang Mai :O

It's 850KM away :/

It wouldn't be my first choice to border bounce from Bangkok :(

You are actually on a 30 day visa exempt entry stamp ;)

You can go to the thai immigration office and extend it by another 30 days for 1900baht

OR

You can go to the Mae Sai - Tachiliek border with burma, stamp outta thailand, stamp in&out of burma, then back into thailand for another 30 day visa exempt entry stamp

Know that if you do a border-bounce at Mae Sai, you're going to be using one of the two 30 day visa exempt entries by a land border you're allowed in a calendar year..
