I am on a 30 days visa on arrival I got at the airport. Question: can I go to Mae Sai and do a border run in order to get 30 more days? Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on a 30-day visa exempt entry and asks about the possibility of doing a border run to Mae Sai for an additional 30 days. Responses clarify that this is feasible either by extending the visa at a Thai immigration office for 1900 baht, or by crossing into Burma at Mae Sai, thus obtaining a new visa exempt entry stamp upon re-entering Thailand. However, it is noted that doing this will count as one of the two allowed 30-day visa exempt entries when crossing a land border in a calendar year.
.Any advise if i am in bkk .I already renew once in cheong wattana and i have to leave bkk for the 2nd time.

The Mae Sai border is up past Chiang Mai :O
It's 850KM away :/
It wouldn't be my first choice to border bounce from Bangkok :(

You are actually on a 30 day visa exempt entry stamp ;)
You can go to the thai immigration office and extend it by another 30 days for 1900baht
OR
You can go to the Mae Sai - Tachiliek border with burma, stamp outta thailand, stamp in&out of burma, then back into thailand for another 30 day visa exempt entry stamp
Know that if you do a border-bounce at Mae Sai, you're going to be using one of the two 30 day visa exempt entries by a land border you're allowed in a calendar year..
