I thought I would ask the community here before researching on the government sites of any Canadians that has experienced visiting Canada together with their Thai significant other? How was the visa application process, and were there any difficulties such as showing proof of funds? Any advice would be appreciated. We plan to visit my parents in Toronto before getting married back in Thailand.

We have to go to Chiang Mai Immigration to extend our 30 day exempt entry stamps from our Mai Sai border run. When we got married the district office gave us documents to present to the immigration office. When I fill out my TM.7 should I use my maiden name or my married name? My (U.S.) passport is still in my maiden name.
