We have NO idea what will happen when amnesty runs out BUT it appears that the government is "mulling" over some options.

Update on my question from this morning. I have a 1 year non-o METV based on marriage to my thai wife. I got the visa in HCM vietnam on Feb. 27th of this year, my first bounce would be May 26th. I asked this morning if I am covered under new amnesty till end of July 31. I was told to go to Chiang Mai or call them to know for sure, well I just called Immigration at Chiang Mai and was told I saw covered until end of July. However I don't have much faith in the person I was talking to, he did speak english but he didn't sound convincing to me. Sorry to make this a long post but I believe the only way I will know for sure is by going there, I'll post my results when I return from chiang mai..
