I have a US passport. if I come in now without a visa I know it’s 45 days. Can I extend it at immigration?

Keep in mind right NOW the only thing that happens is that from Nov 15th until Jan 15th the 2000baht fee for 15 day visa on arrivals for people from 21 countries are free.
