Hi, I wonder beside studying Thai Language and Thai boxing, what else can we study for applying the ED visa ?

Hello, my friend applied back home in Spain for a 6 months visa and a 3 month visa this summer. Both have been declined. She has been asked to have an interview in person, which for she is waiting to hear the day and time. The reason for denying her application has not been shared.

First question? In the mid time, what are her options?

What about getting a new passport and getting a visa on arrival in Bangkok? This would preserve her flights to Bangkok and Chiang as they are. Once there, she can apply for a volunteer or martial arts visa and travel to Lao or any other place to process this.

Second question, will she need to show a ticket out of Thailand on arrival?

Hello group. I have 2 more questions regarding the ED Visa. My husband mentioned something about getting the ED Visa to learn martial arts or the self defense visa. Is this something that can be done and is it the similar process of having to do the 90 single entry visa?

Second question. When doing the ED Visa are you required to do boarder runs? And are you allowed to visit another country outside of Thailand for a few days before you re-enter and get your stamp? Are you allowed to visit another country outside of Thailand on a 90 day single entry visa if you are doing the ED visa? I hope my questions are clear enough. So much to process. When you go to a language school you can get an Ed visa. The same is true for learning self defense (in Chiang Mai only). I'm looking for similar options in Bangkok. I heard there are schools that teach Muay Thai and offer a visa - anyone went down this route yet? Are there any recommended schools? I'd assume having an unprofessional school handle your visa will be a major PITA
