I am a American extending my Thai non-immigrant visa. My Myanmar wife is on a spouse visa attached to mine so her's mus extend at the same time. We were married in Myanmar and we have all the OG documents and translations.
Thai immigration has asked for a copy of our marriage certificate translated to English and certified by the Myanmar Embassy. The Myanmar Embassy tells us they cannot do it, only in Myanmar.
Thai immigration wants a document certified by Myanmar saying we are married. Seems like we are certifying certifications. Any ideas?
Hi guys, I'm the thai husband (but cant speak thai) and trying to extend my wife's 3 months non-o visa to marriage visa and getting the kor ror 22 from District office for the first time. (we were married overseas).
I've been told I must go back to chiangmai district office to do the kor ror 22 (my house registration is in chiangmai). While there are some others which says I can do it anywhere. Can someone please verify? much thanks
Can anybody tell me, if I am doing the retirement visa with monthly income ( pension) of 65000 tbht. Do I have to transfer this amount of money every month into Thailand or is it enough to have the letter approved from my embassy? (I don't want to transfer this amount of money, because I don't need so much.)
So, based on my research it appears regardless if I get married in Thailand or my home country I have to go to my embassy and get a certified marriage/divorce affidavit and possibly have my passport certified to register our marriage? Is this correct?
6.1.3 - Is this document correct as part of the process to get the 90 day O visa from within Bangkok?
It says I need to go and get another letter certifying I was single before marriage but I had to do that to get married and then have it certified by my embassy and the Thai government again.
If this is correct would they accept a picture taken of the documents?
