TLDR : Answer Summary
To get a birth certificate certified by the UK embassy, you should visit their website for detailed services offered and procedures. It's important to clarify whether you need a certification or legalization, as these terms can have different meanings. However, it's noted that such certification may not be necessary for UK passports or related purposes.

It doesn't serve any purpose to be honest. Not needed for a UK passport or anything UK related.

but they're not asking what purpose it serves, only how to do it.
