Went Nakhon Pathom immigration to change from a 30-day exemption + 30-day extension to a non-b and was told my diploma and transcripts must be certified by my embassy. The U.S. embassy would not certify them but had me sign an affidavit attesting that I had graduated on dates indicated. Took the affidavit and originals to Ministry of Foreign Affairs office in Chaengwattana, submitted them and awaiting results.
Anybody heard of this before? There were plenty of people in line at the MoFA certification office.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual underwent a visa change process from a 30-day exemption and extension to a non-B visa and was informed that their diploma and transcripts must be certified by the U.S. embassy. Since the embassy did not certify the documents, they signed an affidavit confirming their graduation dates. They then submitted these documents to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) for certification.
