UPDATE: *After 50 days I have been approved for the DTV Visa. I have contacted them by email (consuladotailandia @ gmail . com) asking if they need any more documents because it has been more than 1 month, and the only answer was asking me when I was going to Thailand. From there I guess they schedule the approvals so as not to have the months lost if the trip is not close yet. Another user told me that the approval was scheduled, and apparently it was also my case because I received the visa at 12:06AM. Besides, the Thai embassy in Madrid in August was also on holiday. *

Hi! I would like to ask the group if anyone has had the same experience.

I am applying online for the DTV in Spain (Thai Embassy Madrid). I started the enquiry on 25.07.24... had to upload some extra documents on 1.08.24 (bank statements, proof of salary and flight ticket).

This was checked on the same day and since then the status has been pending approval.

I often see here that most people get their visa after a few days. Is it sometimes normal that it takes so long?

My flight to Thailand is at the beginning of October but I will be in Malasia before then.

What should I do? Wait a little bit longer or get in touch with the consulate asap?

TIA

I'm wondering if anyone has any recent experience at ChangWattana Immigration with getting their Non O extension based on retirement. I changed an entry stamp to an initial Non O recently, and when I did that, the official showed me a chart saying I could apply 45 days prior to the expiration of the Non O to extend. Yesterday, I went back to get the actual stamp and asked to clarify this and was given several different answers. Two officials said 45 days, two others said 30 days, and another told me to work it out myself!! I obviously could wait until just 30 days out to be sure, but in this case, would cut it rather close to a planned departure, so 45 days is far more optimal, especially if they make you come back for the stamp. Any recent reports would be of great help. And thanks again to the moderators for all the incredibly helpful insights and advice on this board.
