Hi everyone, I’m going to apply for work dtv in Sydney Australia . I currently do work for another company but I operate under my own abn and submit my own invoices for payment. I’m just wondering if anyone has any tips or anything extra I can include with my application? I’ve got a copy of my abn registration, aswell as my certification for the role I’m contracting work for. Should I include copies of any invoices or remittance? Any other tips are appreciated, in a little worried as I don’t have an employer to certify a letter for me as I work for myself. Thanks in advance

Just got a request for further documents:

* Other request documents: Please upload a copy of the business registration (in English or accompanied by an official English translation) in the case of self-employed persons/sole proprietors. The document must include the applicant’s personal details.

I have no business registration because I work as a freelancer. Previously, I attached a contract with my long-term client and screenshots from my Upwork account, as well as previous jobs completed. What can I do now?

Hello everyone,

I am currently in Thailand and looking to apply for the DTV Workation visa. I am just starting my business as a self-employed entrepreneur, and although I have the required €15,000, I do not yet have incoming revenue in my account. I am wondering if this might be an issue for my application.

Here are the documents I plan to submit to the embassy:

📌 Basic Documents:

✔ Passport

✔ Copy of the main passport page

✔ 1 passport-size photo

✔ Visa application form

📌 Proof of Residence:

✔ Proof of residence in France (under my mother’s name)

✔ My mother’s ID

✔ My own ID

✔ Residence certificate

📌 Financial Documents:

✔ Bank statements from the last 6 months

✔ Bank statement showing possession of €15,000

📌 Business Proofs:

✔ A letter presenting my business, explaining how I generate income (bank transfers) and the platforms I use

✔ Screenshots and links to my website on Systeme.io, my Instagram account, and my online business

✔ Business registration with INSEE as a self-employed entrepreneur

✔ A recent invoice (less than 3 months old)

✔ Proof of a bank transfer related to my business activity

My questions:

1️⃣ Based on my situation and the documents provided, do you think I have a good chance of obtaining the DTV visa?

2️⃣ Could the lack of incoming revenue in my account be an issue?

3️⃣ Which embassy would you recommend for submitting my application while I am currently in Thailand? (I would prefer not to travel too far.)

Thank you in advance for your advice and insights.

Self employed and applying in Ho Chi Minh

I have bank statements, client contracts, paid invoices, etc.

Do i need to submit my business registration and/or tax ID?

And is there any other documentation that can give me an advantage for quick approval?

If both are needed, i can submit, but i need to make sure I have every single doc to make this smooth as possible as most of my life is currently in Thailand since I've been living here a few months hahah

DTV visa experience as a couple in Taipei (1x approved, 1x rejected) - Remote Work (both self-employed with our own companies)

✅ Each of us prepared the following documents:

- application form with one passport photo

- Copy of our passport

- Application letter

- Service contract with one client in German language

- IRS document from our L.L.C. with the EIN

- Invoices and payments from 3 clients (in the past 6 months)

- Official Bank statement (from our private bank account + business bank account) -

- Proof of savings account (with more than 500.000 Baht)

So we went to the Embassy at 9am to hand over our documents and should come back the same day at 3.30 pm to pay for our visas and the next day we should be able to pick it up.

❗️First important thing: only a screenshot from the bank account overviews isn’t enough.

My boyfriends’ documents were accepted on that first day. 💪

❌ Mine were not.

These were the reasons:

- They wanted to have my service contract in English

- I wrote “partner” instead of “client” in the application letter. And also I wrote “we” instead of “I” one time.

- My passport cover was not looking good anymore so they said even if I handed them all my documents in the way they asked me for they couldn’t give me the visa.

So be careful with that please.

Luckily I have a 2nd passport.. but it was in Bangkok.

So my boyfriend flew straight to Bangkok to get my second passport for me and flew straight back to Taipei (all during one night) so the next morning I applied again.

In the end I finally got accepted as well.

I am very grateful that I have it now and that my boyfriend supported me in such a great way - I hope this post can help you✨🫶

Just filling out the eVisa application. Just to make sure I don't get rejected for understanding something wrong I have two questions:

1. Within 'accomodation in Thailand' Contact No. - do I put my contact number in Thailand in there or the contact number of my landlord?

2. Could someone explain the distinction between 'Business Owner' and 'Freelancer' on the application? I’ve looked it up, and people say the line is a bit vague. For context, I’m self-employed and run a sole proprietorship with a tax number. I'd go for business owner but I'm not sure what the Thai embassy defines as freelancer

Thanks in advance!
