Do I get an extra 90 days permission to stay when a tourist visa converts to a "non B teacher" visa?
My school is telling me yes, but I can't seem to find it documented anywhere. I'm just nervous and don't want to scramble last minute if this isn't true.
Details:
I'm USA passport. On a 60 day eVisa.
After they help me get converted to non-B, they will apply for work permit.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When you convert a tourist visa to a Non-B visa for teaching in Thailand, you will receive a new 90-day stay permission. The process involves applying at the immigration office with your school's assistance to provide the necessary paperwork. As long as you have sufficient days remaining on your current visa, you can complete the in-country conversion, which typically allows for a 90-day stay from the date of issuance.

It's all on the school to provide the paperwork to immigration to convert to the non B visa which is good for 90 days, usually it's more difficult to get an in country Non B.
