Please, any hope for those entering the Kingdom with Tourist Visa and need to convert to Non B?

If so what is the procedure, time and the possible Provinces (Changwat) that offer to convert Tourist V to Non B after you must have found a job.

Thanx in advance Sir(s).

TLDR : Answer Summary
It is possible to convert a tourist visa to a Non-B visa in Thailand, but the procedure can vary by immigration office. You need to check with your local immigration office to confirm if they handle such conversions. Typically, if you are at the Chaengwattana office, you must have at least 15 days remaining on your current visa for the conversion process to begin, as it takes about 14 days for approval. After securing a job, your employer must apply for a Work Permit, and if they meet the requirements, you can apply for a Non-B visa from within Thailand or may need to go to a neighboring country for the application.

You should check in with your immigration office to see if they can even do the conversion from a tourist visa or a 30 day visa exempt entry to a 90 day Non-B. Some offices can't do it at all. :/

At Chaengwattana in order to do the conversion from a 30 day visa exempt entry or a 60 day tourist visa entry to a 90 day Non-B visa you need at least 15 days left on your current stamp. That's because the application goes under consideration for 14 days before you go back get the Non-B visa and the new 90 day stamp inked into your passport.

guess you lucked out. :)

usually on the receipt for the 2000baht fee they give you when you apply there is a date that says when you return for the "results" and its' 14 days from the date you apply.

It looks like this

I came in on a tourist visa issued in Vientianne. Converted to non b. Maybe just luck or my school knows someone.

, sorry but Chaengwattana has had that 14 day under consideration for issuing Non-Immigrant Type visas (of any type) inside the country in section C-1 for years now.

The only people I am aware of who can get around it are the agents that push paper and help people get visas.

What type of entry stamp did you go from and what type of Non-Immigrant Visa did you get?

@Dylan *******
and what immigration office and how long ago did you use it to get a Non-Immigrant Visa issued inside the country?

Just out of curiosity but is this consideration period the same for teachers. I received my conversion the same day.

After you found a job, your employer has to apply for the Work Permit and if your employer can meet the Immigration requirements you can transfer to a Non Immigrant B visa inside Thailand or your Employer will ask you to apply in neighbor country for this Visa.
