Will my DTV be approved if I work remotely for a UK company with a regional office in Thailand?

My employer’s company is UK-based and primarily registered in the UK. I can work remotely from anywhere in the world. My company has recently registered as a 'regional office' in Thailand. In this scenario, my DTV as a remote worker will not be approved, right? Even though I am hired by the UK-based entity and not by the regional office they recently registered?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question concerns the approval of a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) for a remote worker employed by a UK-based company that has recently established a regional office in Thailand. It is clarified that since the worker is contracted by the UK entity and not the Thai regional office, they cannot engage in work for the Thai office, implying DTV approval is unlikely. Additional comments emphasize that the regional office is a separate entity and that taxation and immigration compliance must be considered.

Any company professing their workers can work remotely from anywhere in the world is committing fraud and aiding in the tax evasion. If a worker is working remotely in another country, the company is responsible for paying his taxes in the host country. For twenty years I have worked remotely in some of the world's top companies like Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Oracle, Qualcomm, and AMD,, and all have clauses that I can only work remotely in US territories only.

don't pretend to apply the US laws to non American citizens working for non American companies outside of the US. It's a totally different story 😂

It doesn’t matter if there’s a regional office or not. It’s a separate entity, period. As long as you’re not paid through that regional office, you’re fine

You certainly won't be allowed to do any work of any sort for the Thai entity, even if doing it through your primary work contract. I think you need to ask the embassy you plan to apply at rather than on here
