Hi all

I got accepted and received my Thailand pass about 2 weeks ago

I know passes approved before the 22nd December are being honored, my issue is I’ve just had to get a fast track new passport because a few days ago I noticed it was damaged

My new passport will have a new passport number and start and expiry date

Will they be able to update my existing Thailand pass or will I now have to scrap the pass I’ve got and apply for the Phuket sandbox

Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user recently received a Thailand Pass but had to get a new passport due to damage. They are concerned about the implications of having a new passport number and different dates and whether their existing pass can be updated or if they need to reapply under the Phuket Sandbox program. Several comments suggest carrying both the old and new passports to clarify any discrepancies, while others mention contacting relevant authorities for guidance.

You should be fine but try to see if there's an official document or notice from the UK that explains the two passports. I have found having extra documents is always better.

I would have stuck with the old passport.As long as it was valid.Not a good time to Confuse this situation.

My visa is in my old passport, my entry stamp is in my new one. I travelled with both.

Visa might have already been transferred to new passport already

You won't get a new passport at the british embassy in Bkk.... they don't deal with that.... struggling to see what they actually do deal with

I’ve got a new passport well it’s been couriered back to me today, I just don’t want to travel 10,000km to be told sorry your documents don’t match your Thailand pass and then send me on the next flight home. I haven’t seen my son for 2 years if I have to book the Phuket sandbox instead I will do that if it’s gets me into Thailand. Just thought there might of been a way of them updating the Thailand pass

@Adam *******
be sure to get that in writing. They dont always work in sync between embassies/consulates and immigration in thailand. You mentioned you have a son here so you probably have some kinds of experience already

@Adam *******
oh okay…then the only option left would be bring w u both passport and make them accept yr case and let you in … you should be fine!
Michael ********
Just bring your old passport with you
Wilmont ******
My guess is you should be ok as long as you have both passports. But if you get the wrong agent then heaven help you.
Neal *******
I can bet it's gonna be fine. 2 passports is not that rare. Be ready to explain it and it will be fine. They are seeing this every day.

Bring your old passport as well

Nightmare. I have a feeling that you'll have to start again.
