Hi

Looking for some advice please. Im currently on a non o ( thai wife) obtained in thailand. The current expiry date of that is 27th of July. Today I went to phuket immigration to get the 1 year extension. I have a under consideration stamp which expires the same day as my current stamp 27th of July. Should I receive a 1 year stamp on this date when I go because I also received a 90 day report receipt which he told me to come back on 20th September which would be less than 2 month after the stamp goes in not 90 days as it should be.

Thanks for your help
Answer summary
The original poster is seeking clarification about their Non-O visa status and the process for obtaining a 1-year extension. They have received an 'under consideration' stamp that expires on the same date as their current visa. Several commenters confirm that they should receive the 1-year extension stamp on their next visit to the immigration office. There is some confusion regarding the scheduling of their next 90-day report, with the consensus suggesting that reporting dates may vary, especially if influenced by overseas travel. The importance of buying a re-entry permit when obtaining the extension is also highlighted.

Well when you get the extension just takes time. The 90 day report just rolls on.

Remember, your 90 day reporting dates can be disrupted (or revised) by overseas travel.. and can also be filed early or late.. meaning for most people they are unlikely to remain on a strict 90-day schedule.. and the renewal of your visa (extension) doesn't change how long you've been in-country does it.. so i fail to understand why the reporting date would change 🤔

... your 90 day reporting not only "can" be disrupted, it 100% WILL be disrupted by overseas travel, and will reset to 1 on the day you return to Thailand.

I agree with you.. but there are people that will always beg to differ.. so i chose my words to avoid such contention 😉

Your stamps in your passport are correct. When you return to the Thai Immigration office you will get the one year extension stamp.

The 90 day report is different than the one year extension date.

the one-year of the extension of stay, will start on July 28th. Buy a single re-entry permit for it when you pick up the EoS stamp on Immigration

20th September is correct if you did a 90 day report today

where did he say it's his 1st extension?

an extension starts on the day it's issued but runs to the expiry date of the previous stamp. It only has the date it is issued and the date it expires.

with the issuing or at the start, i.e. after the 90 day Non-O has been completed or is this again Office dependant?

@Llehctim *****
no it doesn't. Normally the 90 day reporting period starts with the issuing of the 12 month extension (which you received today, albeit with an under consideration period)

90 days reports are you report every 90 days. If you reported today then your next is due 90 days from now.

Are you on a 90 day visa now and what were you on before ?

Yes you will get your 12 month stamp then and at the same time you can question the date of the 90 day report if you think it;s wrong (it certainly looks that way if you're now on a Non-O).
