On a non exempt visa and it expires Saturday, June 16th. Can I go to Bangkok immigration office Monday without an overstay fine? Or does it need to be taken care of tomorrow.

(Reason being is I need to be in Phuket tomorrow morning and I know that won’t happen if I go to immigration tomorrow morning)

TLDR : Answer Summary
If your non-exempt visa expires on a day when the immigration office is closed (like a weekend), you can visit the office the following business day without facing an overstay fine. You will receive a stamp indicating overstay, but it will state that the fine is waived. It's important to note that you don't need to wait until your visa is about to expire to apply for an extension, as new validity will be added to the existing expiration date.

if your stamp expires on a day the immigration office is closed (weekends or holidays) and you go the very next day they're open you will not be charged for overstay and can get your extension like normal.

You will get the overstay stamp in your passport but it will say fine waived.

You do know that there is NO need to wait until your stamp is almost expiring to get an extension because they ADD the new 30 days to the old expiration date.

In Bangkok, Chiang Mai and I think Krabi they will do it when you have 45 days or less left on your current stamp. Most other places will do it when you have 30 days or less, BUT some cranky places will only do it when you have 15 days or less. :/
