Hi,

I got DTV for about 1 year now, had to get a provisional passport a month ago in order to proceed my travel plans. Coming back with my provisional passport soon to Thailand, will they come up and ask some "weird" questions, or showing them my old 32-page-passport including DTV visa will be fine and I will get easily back?

(German passport if that matters. Anyone made experiences with provisional passports+DTV?

Answer summary

A user returning to Thailand with a provisional passport after obtaining a DTV visa is concerned about potential immigration questioning. Comments suggest bringing both the provisional and old passports is essential, as the DTV is linked to the old passport number. Additionally, updating the DTV with the new passport number at an immigration office is advisable.

I've never heard of a provisional passport. However, you must have your old passport with you, as the DTV will have that passport number. You can attend any immigration office and have the DTV updated with your new passport number. I had to do that with my Non-O

You need to make sure you have your old passport and your new passport to give to the immigration officers.
