Can a DTV be transferred to a new passport at Thai immigration without needing a new police check?
Has anyone had their existing DTV transferred to a new passport at Thai immigration (due to former passport expiring) since the police check and home country application location rules were rolled out?
I will need to do this in 6 months, and for planning purposes if I need to go home and get a police check then that best be done in the xmas/new years trip home.

If you are lucky, they will make a note in your new passport with your old passport number, but you will have to carry both passports until your visa expires

not suggesting anything - I am asking if they have a basis to retrospectively request a police check when transferring it to a new passport as one was not done at initial application
