Hi, I have just received my non immigration O visa and I will be applying for a marriage visa, I know the process for this.

I'm booking my flight and it will obviously be 1 way, could this create a problem at UK check in,as I don't have a return ticket?

Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about potential issues when checking in at the UK airport, as they are traveling on a one-way ticket after recently receiving their Non-O visa. Community responses suggest that having a valid visa should not cause problems at check-in; however, it is recommended to confirm policies with the airline, as they enforce travel regulations. There is a clarification about visa types, indicating that the user will need to apply for an extension of stay related to marriage in Thailand after their 90-day visa.

ask the airline is the best advice but I have a friend and he flys to Bangkok on a 1 way ticket (Qatar airlines) and when he wants to come back home he buys a 1 way ticket back also the tickets from Thailand are cheaper going back home than buying from you home country

No.

It’s a 90 day Non O based on marriage, then a 12 month extension for the same reason 400k.

@Anthony *****
how does this in any way pertain to whether they need a return ticket with a Non O visa? The answer is, "no." Not a thing else.

He said he’s got a Non O 90 visa and is going to apply for a marriage visa, please read Tod’s comment and you should then understand mine and how it relates to his post,

if you were adding to Tod, or responding to him, etc, you failed. You created a new thread that makes zero sense.

Sorry to change the subject and ask a question, as I cannot find the site when putting my question,; just saw a video where a guy is saying that Bangkok Bank have changed the rules set out by immigration for money requirements for Non O visa, marriage and retirement and now the time required of said money , 800,

If you get any trouble at check in with your Non-O just ask to speak to the flight supervisor

IF you just received your 90 day single entry Non-O visa you won't be applying for ANY "marriage visa" once you get here 🙁

you'll get stamped in for 90 days on the current Non-O and then when you have 30 days or less you'll go apply for a year "extension of stay" based on marriage <- which is not a visa 😉

Be that as it may

you are unlikely to have issues flying in on a valid visa with a one way ticket. You won't have any problem with passport control when you stamp in showing the PDF print out along with your passport

BUT

You should check with your air carrier because they are the people that enforce onward travel rules. I would imagine because you have a valid 90 day single entry visa you would be okay comin' in one way, but check with them for sure

Thanks for your reply, so is there no such thing as marriage visa? It's just "extension to stay" based on marriage.Doesn't roll of the tongue so well.

but isn't it called a spouse visa but you have to be married but firstly get the non o visa this is what I am doing as for the spouse visa you only need 400k baht in the bank not 800k baht with a no o retirement visa ..I my have got it wrong but this is what I was told as doing this in October ( I have my non o visa )
