TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can book a one-way ticket for applying for a Non-O visa to stay with family in Thailand. Users shared that having a one-way ticket is acceptable as long as you can show your visa if checked by airline staff.

O what document was that as my wife's name on marriage certificate is in her maiden name and her thai passport is in her married name ๐Ÿค”

My wife changed her first name because she was told it was more lucky for her. They get a certificate to show it's been changed.

Which name does it have on her ID card?

This was my message.

Royal Thai Embassy/ The Royal Thai Consulate-General would like to request for additional documents as follows:

Personal details of a family in Thailand, e.g. ID card, Passport and the visa page or stay permit in Thailand: - Wifeโ€™s Thai ID card or passport. Her name is not the same as your Marriage certificate.

@Gary *******
My wife done this.

Changed original name to lucky name.

Changed lucky name back to original because it's more lucky.

I don't get involved, just go along with it.
