I'm going to Thailand in January on non-imm O visa. Flying from UK.

Can I buy one way ticket as I'm not sure how long will i stay? Or will it have problems on the border?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Traveling to Thailand on a Non-immigrant O visa is generally acceptable with a one-way ticket, according to several community members' experiences. While nobody reported issues with border control, some airlines might require proof of onward travel. It's advisable to check with your airline regarding their policies before flying. Having a backup onward ticket could be prudent to avoid any complications.

I've never been asked at the border, but some airlines require proof of onward travel with a one way ticket. The last flight I had from the US was with Delta/Korean Air. They asked for proof of onward travel. I had bought a cheap ticket to Cambodia just in case they asked so I showed them that.

Hiya ๐Ÿ‘‹ I moved here in July with my daughter who has a different last name to me (am married but didn't change my passport to married name, same as my child). We both came on a one way ticket and nobody in the UK or Thailand said anything, totally fine x

cool thx . One more question

Checked on Google and people said that the IO won't ask for onward ticket. But they might ask for a oneard ticket when boarding plane in UK.

ohh ok. That should be enough? Its a single entry non imm O visa ( for 3 months) but then I plan either to extend it or just fly out of Thailand and return
