I’m looking to retire from UK to Thailand in September and trying to find out what visa will allow a one way flight ticket but can’t find any information

The last 2 years I got the 90 days non immigrant O for family, this would be ideal giving me time to apply for 1 yr marriage visa and have the 400,000 in the bank ( married to Thai national )

Has anyone got the experience with one way ticket for this visa or any other?

Any information would be greatly appreciate

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Non-Immigrant O visa allows entry into Thailand without requiring an onward flight ticket, making it suitable for expats retiring in Thailand. Users shared experiences of applying for the visa without needing a return ticket and highlighted that it's possible to use the visa for initially entering on a one-way ticket, paving the way for future applications for the marriage visa after fulfilling the required bank balance for a year.

depends what visa type you have (if any). On a tourist visa or exempt entry your airline may well insist on a flight/ticket out within the initial days allowed. Some don’t bother. Many do.

Just because you’ve never been asked doesn’t mean that others won’t be.

Yes I live here on we were in and out of Rayong immigration in 20 minutes.

When I applied for my visa three years ago. I used Royal Thai Embassy Portal. Got my visa in 5 working days. I use an insurance company in Thailand for my health insurance. Good luck with your move. It the right one.

A non immigrant O visa does not require any form of onward ticket.
