My Visa expires January 3 and I just realized immigration will be closed Friday, January 2.
It was mentioned in this group that you’re allowed to go the next day that they are open for the extension, you will get an overstay stamp, but they will waive the fee due to the holiday. Do you know if getting this overstay stamp would m affect applying for the DTV though?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about their visa expiring on January 3, while immigration is closed on January 2. They have heard about getting an overstay stamp for visiting immigration on January 5, but are unsure if this will affect their application for a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa). In the comments, others confirm that receiving an overstay stamp may not impact the DTV application, especially since the overstay fee could be waived due to the holiday closure.
It won't affect a DTV application but if you go on the 5th which is the next day immigration is open for an extension you might get a stamp saying you overstayed but there's no penalty because the office was closed. Most offices will be pretty busy on the 5th so leave plenty of time
Many people have been issued a DTV having had overstays in the past. One bloke published he had been on a year ban as his overstay was so long. Still got a DTV no problem.
