TLDR : Answer Summary
The question seeks advice on whether five working days are sufficient for visa approval when visiting Jakarta for seven days. Responses indicate variability in processing time, with experiences ranging from 2 to 9 days. Many users emphasize checking the Thai Embassy website for specific visa information and advise caution regarding flight bookings until visa approval is confirmed. Furthermore, the conversation highlights frustration over anonymous posting and reiterates the importance of self-research before asking for help.

No excuse for making the post anonymous, 0% sensitive. This is just weird.

Isn't Jakarta moving to E-Visa on 22 October? And they say that with E-visa may take longer and it easier that they will deny your application if you do the slightest mistake

You can search for information in this group... I just did a search for "Jakarta" and the 2 first posts that showed up had gotten approved in 2-3 days. However that is no guarantee, they could ask for additional documents and so on, making it take longer time. If it were me, I would not book a return flight until after my application got approved (but that is me).

ya thought about that but then next day tickets are very very expensive

Anonieme deelnemer If a simple ticket from Jakarta to Thailand already is considered very, very expensive, I wonder how you will comply with the financial requirements of the visa...

Another example of an anonymous post without basic info about the identity of the passport nation? Did the poster read the requirements for the DTV visa on the Thai Embassy website?

I think the poster did not read anything at all, and just thinks it is easier to ask here.

Anonymous participant are you now in Thailand?

Or where are you now?

Taipei is among the easiest for getting the DTV visa...

What's the DTV visa that you are going to apply for? DIGITAL NOMAD? Muay Thai? Medical reason or Cooking school? Or even Diving instructions course as recently seen approved ?

you are starting to look ridiculus. C'mon, it's an advice group! 5 comments saying the same thing... did you try to look for that information there yourself? No, didn't think so, since it isn't there!

You are right about that, but I also understand the frustration of
@Henrik ****
when people obviously not really investigating themselves, posting anonimous and reacting angry.

It took me less than a minute to find this link.

I think your advice just to wait till the visa is approved is the best advice, but cheap Charlies see that as too expensive.

not being cheap (800-1000$ isn’t being cheap to fly there and do everything )but have gf here in Thailand and condo. Wanting to get there and back Reacting angry to someone posting same thing 5 times. That’s childish

Instead he could have posted link like you did

We are here to help. Instead of being rude

this group is for people to help each other out and gain information. A easy link like you posted would have been simple and help many people. I have read 3 days in this group but just overthink everything and wanted to double check. My bad for asking a simple question in a group I thought people

We’re here to help each other.

If my friend asked me I would send the link and help him. Not just say go look on website.

Anonieme deelnemer Yes, this group is to help each other, but sometimes a series of things add up to irritation. The way a question is aksed is one of them. Don't forget we do not see and know each other, especially when somebody post anonymous. You could have explained your situation a bit more.

Most members of this group really want to help each other.

Already reacting angry when the first comment was posted is not the way to go.

Being lazy, and just get a number from someone else, instead of actually making a effort and look for the answers yourself, the questioner get a lot extra bonus information by looking for the answer yourself, making the process of applying easier, and get a better feel for what is requested.

The answer has even been posted several times in this group, as well as when making a full facebook search.

People who don’t want to contribute to the group, only be anonymous, can not expect others to take them serious.
