Does anybody have any experience with the Thai Embassy in Manila? I only need a tourist visa.

Website says "two working days" for processing. I presume that means drop off one day and pick up the next? I'd call them to double check but it is out of office hours now.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The processing time for a tourist visa at the Thai Embassy in Manila is typically two working days. This means you drop off your application in the morning one day and return two days later for pickup. Applicants should be prepared to provide proof of accommodation, such as a hotel booking (even if it's for just one day), proof of funds, and tickets for entering and exiting Thailand. Several users have reported quick and efficient service, often taking as little as 30 minutes for drop-off and pickup.

I showed only 1 day booked in a hotel and they asked me why it was only one day.

I told them that i wasnt sure for my plan yet.

I had the visa 2 days later.

Of course i had bank statements and tickets in and out of thailand.

You can even apply for the 1 year retirement Visa but they want a medical certificate and a police check so that was a bridge too far....on the plus the retirement Visa was only $40 single entry $80 multi

Many consulates except proof of finances from your home country for non imm O visa based on being over 50, ie the money doesnt have to be in a Thai bank account. I dont personally know about Manilla though.

this might be easier than doing it in Thailand because it says bank statement which I assume could be your home bank so no need to transfer funds to a Thai bank...have no idea what they need for certification of income

My bad...$52 for single entry $125

Been there 3 times :-) 2 working days means drop off info in the morning and come back 2 days later....for example drop off Monday morning come back Wednesday afternoon....they want to see all of the big 3....ie proof of funds lodging and tickets in and out of Thailand....the lodging could be for just 1 day though....they are fast though....never had to to wait more than 30 minutes for drop off or pickup

No idea mate....gonna guess no....they we're not that accomodating

Thanks, Rob. If I turned up on a Thursday and asked REALLY nicely for the Friday, do you think that could work? This has worked before in Bali but not everywhere is the same of course.
