Will departing Thailand at 00:05 on November 7th cause visa issues if my stay is 30 days?

The only time I overstayed, and it was a long time ago I was in exactly this situation and I was stamped as 1 day overstay. When I shared this information last week I was called a liar by the keyboard experts as if that could change the fact that there’s a stamp in an ld passport 😂

The bottom line is that the IO has discretion.

If your flight is 00:05 on the 7th of November, then you are only just 5 minutes into day 30, not into day 31, if your flight is 00:05 on the 8th November, then you are 5 minutes into day 31.

Its the time you pass immigration that counts imho

As long as you’re through immigration before the end of day 30 you’ll be fine.

However if you flight is delayed or cancelled you may find yourself on the wrong side of the immigration checkpoint at 12:00am on day 31. Say for example, your flight departure is delayed until 6am, check-in might not open until 2am so you will not have a boarding pass and cannot proceed through to immigration before midnight.

You need to be at the airport 3 hours before so you will be ok as you should be airside
