Will a merged first and middle name on my EVA Air ticket be a problem for my 60-day travel visa application?
Hi. I need to get a travel visa (60 days), and i know they will ask for a doc as proof of flight. The airline i have booked with is EVA air, the way they format their booking (which is also confirmed on theIr FAQ section) is that the first and middle name is joined together, no spaces. As this is not how it appears on my passport, will this be an issue when applying for the 60 day visa?

Think yourself lucky that you do not have a double-barrelled family name and cannot use a hyphen. A bit confusing the first time you book a ticket online.

Name on your ticket should not be an issue with your visa. The important thing on your Visa Application is write as per your passport, as this will be used in all Immigration paperwork you need. The Immigration system will always use your passport name and not the ticket.

I have been flying with EVA for about 15 years and my first and middle name is merged together on my booking every time and I never have had any problems.

OPI've just looked on chat gpt, they say its a common thing to merge first and middle names and not to worry with some airlines, just submit the visa.

Your name must be exactly as it is in your passport, if your ticket differs the merge their FAQ with your ticket before uploading

Graham Seal I had yhe issue today. Emirates didn't have my middle name on the booking (never had for last 20+ flights). I had an email from Embassy saying the name must be the same as passport. After about an hour trying to get through to Emirates on the phone and finally having the name changed, when I logged into the Embassy website I saw the visa was approved!!! Even though I had received and email to the contrary.
